REFLECTION

I had to learn how to use the online infographic creation tool Easel.ly. I learned to use the tool through personal exploration.
This project aligned to my goals for this class because it has helped me to discover an additional online tool that can be used in the enrichment of online trainings.
I benefited from creating this project by learning there were new, simplistic ways to create infographics to simplify communication of complex ideas. I had not considered using infographics in my field but certainly will from here on out.
I struggled with the limitations associated with the free account, such as limited icons/imagery, and limited exporting options. I was not able to download a file, but was able to share a link for viewing.
Students would use the free subscription option so they will have to use creativity in icons and visual representations, as well as learning to create hyperlinks in their communications to allow them to share their project successfully.
It is always good practice to look for ways to incorporate additional ISTE Standards by employing enriched methods and assessments through units. At the completion of each unit I will assess the goals and their efficacy and analyze how I can incorporate additional standards through revision to process or assessments.
