REFLECTION

I learned how to use the online collaboration tool Padlet. I learned to use the tool by exploring examples and creating my own. I almost got caught up in interacting with existing public posts because it was enjoyable to participate in, which confirmed to me that the students should find the platform engaging.
This project aligned to my goals to be a collaborator, introducing new tools that allow me to accomplish this goal. This also provides another tool I can add to the list I am sharing with my co-workers that could enrich our work communications.
I not only learned this useful new tool, I learned about the subject topic of economic interdependence. The tool was simple to use, there were only successes and no difficulties. The biggest stumbling block will likely be waiting on other respondents to be able to complete the assignment.
The students will need to ensure they are creating an accurate post after performing research. They must include some type of media or link to media. They will also need to comment on three other student's posts sharing their thoughts about the validity of those posts or other thoughts they may have developed.
Establishing a reputation with the other schools will strengthen our ability to find participants for global collaboration. I would seek to expand outside the US, encouraging students to reach for these opportunities in their collaboration invitations as well.
